Overview

The Ernie Els-designed Savannah Course at Mission Hills, officially the world’s largest golf facility and the home of golf in China, measures over 7,000 yards. Its strength lies in the diverse terrain; part of the course simulates a parkland style environment that meanders through a pristine river basin.

Incredibly, Mission Hills has 10 championship golf courses, with Ernie’s Savannah layout sitting alongside a diverse range of courses designed by other legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Vijay Singh, Jumbo Ozaki, David Duval, José Maria Olazabal, Annika Sorenstam and Greg Norman.

Did you know…

Ernie’s design vision included a lush backdrop of dense tree growth juxtaposed against wide swaths of manicured turf, thus evoking a ‘maintained garden’ aesthetic reminiscent of Ernie’s homeland.
