Overview

Anahita is one of the first luxury residential developments offering individuals a real taste and insight into the chic Mauritian way of life. The Ernie Els designed golf course is beautifully complemented by surrounding lagoons and breathtaking mountain backdrops. Indeed, one of the strengths of this golf course is the team was able to maximise the visual impact of the surrounding scenery, but also preserve the coastline’s natural beauty.

The hole-routings move in and out of the trees, along the water, and back, giving players great variety and magnificent views of the ocean. Another of the features that makes this course stand out are some of the interesting design touches integrated into the layout; such as the use of existing dry-stone walls as strategic hazards, links-style burns and classic, grass-downed bunkers which reveal just a sliver of sand from the player’s-eye view.

Did you know…

Anahita hosted its first professional tournament, the Mauritius Golf Masters, in 2010 and 2011. It also hosted the 2016 and 2018 AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, the first ever tri-sanctioned tournament by the DP World Tour, Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour.
